TOUR OF THE NEW THOMAS JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL
CSI Pittsburgh will be touring West Jefferson Hills School District’s new Thomas Jefferson High School. The new state-of-the-art high school has 225,000 square feet over two levels of technology rich classrooms for ninth through twelfth grade students with a 1,200 seat auditorium with fly space, dining commons, competitive swimming pool, gymnasium, large group instructional rooms, fine arts, music and technical educational academies, and exterior courtyard for dining, and instructional opportunities. The new High School is located along Old Clairton Road just across the street from the West Jefferson Hills School District administrative offices.
Tour of the project will be from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Please park in the student parking area and meet at the front rotunda pictured above. The building is in punch list phase, so no hard hats are required.
Following the tour, we will meet at Gali’s Gyro and Grill for dinner, 71-73 Clairton Boulevard, Pleasant Hills, PA. Dinner will include choice of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Tour and dinner $35/person.

Best of the ‘Burgh Walking Tour
CSI Pittsburgh’s May meeting will include a guided tour of downtown Pittsburgh, by Walk the Burgh. Tour will be from 4:30 to 6:00. Please arrive 15 minutes early at Walk the Burgh tour office: 1049 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. You’ll need to sign a waiver before the tour begins. The tour concludes in Market Square where we will meet at Simple Greek for dinner.

What to Wear: Tour will take place rain or shine make sure to dress accordingly. Wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. Sandals should have a strap around the ankle. Shoes with heels as well as flip-flops are not recommended.

Project Tour of Pressley Ridge School
CSI Pittsburgh’s April meeting will include a site tour of Pressley Ridge School for Autism and Deaf. This is a new 40,000 square foot facility to meet the varying needs of students presented with lifelong challenges by way of interactive technology, concentrated learning environments, and job training. Tour of the project will be from 3:30 to 5pm. Please meet at the construction trailer (parking lot available) and bring your hardhat. No open toes shoes or exposed shoulders please.
Following the tour, we will meet at Brugge on North for dinner, just down the street from AGH. Dinner will include salad, choice of pasta and chicken or seasonal fish. Tour and dinner $35/person, cash bar.

SPEAKER: Ruthanne Hanlon, PPG National Color + Design Manager presents 2019 Global Color Trends. Ruthanne has been in the field of design since graduating in 1994 from FIDR accredited Villa Maria College located in upstate NY. Her career includes experience in kitchen and bath design, custom furnishings and space planning. Ruthanne has focused specifically on color specifications since 2000, consulting on commercial and residential projects along with residential repaints and historic restorations using the powerful influence color has in transforming a space, creating an atmosphere and providing the personalization and character everyone strives for. Ruthanne travels North America and the Caribbean conducting accredited CEUs for design professionals and specifiers on forecasted color trends and the influencers behind them.
